Pros

engineers have great attitude and easy to work with

Cons

Any new idea is "not how we do it here", One principal would openly say derogatory statements about engineers and other principals when the specific employees were not in room HR/management unhelpful and would say "give it a couple weeks" when highlighting concerns with unprofessional behavior During interview management will commit to something, and then change requirements within first week of starting. --Examples of what has been done to employees 1) job no longer in one city but in another and you need to relocate. 2) In interview job has no travel. In first week, job is now 80% travel for next year 3) Your project requires you to drive 1 hr to customer site. We don't think we should reimburse any travel expense for the mileage

Pros

These are all my personal opinions as I only worked in one department at the company. Great group of entry levels to get along with, along with “some” managers. Great learning opportunity at first. Until they kept changing the formats what seemed like every day. A couple of managers were understandable and easy to work with, great at explaining and describing what the overall scope entailed. I would say 2 of the 3 (the third will be in the cons section) in that office were nice and easy to go over how to do daily tasks. They always gave great feedback and didn’t belittle you for not understanding. The one manager seemed more professional with the way he spoke and would clarify things. The other one she was the brains behind the software great resource. The 3rd one seemed like an old vet with his “back in my day” attitude. Pay was ok for entry but no overtime unless you traveled overnight and did field work. Basic health and 401k options

Cons

This is place took a turn. There was always too much banter going on between management where it would get awkward and uncomfortable. That 3rd manager even though it seemed like he knew the industry well, he always came in his high horse and made it well known if you didn’t know, you were an idiot. Always belittled everyone especially when they weren’t around. Any opinion you had outside of work was always the wrong opinion to him never a dull moment. We would make stuff up between my peers because we knew he always had a “right opinion” Upper management was hardly around. No one really knew what his role was at first. Turns out he ran the circus show. And when he was in the office he would only come out to banter and openly discuss with that 3rd manager how terrible everyone was doing. These 2 would only give out negative feedback and not help in the training process. Lack of training and when one process was finally understood it would get scrapped and changed. In my time (less than a year) there were 6-8 people fired just because they weren't up to their standard. That included managers, entry level engineers and techs. Instead of figuring out the issue and training properly, it seemed like it was easier to start from scratch and repeat the process. The last manager they hired was probably what lead to my exit. Didnt understand the process and expectations were too high with unrealistic budgeting which lead to more work exhaustion. I would not recommend this place if working for this team. Be prepared to question why you are in this industry if this is your entry level out of college. I know a few that are there with 1-2 years who were already looking to exit
