      Pros

      Work life balance is great, and the work is not that difficult.

      Cons

      Your career trajectory is heavily determined by your singular manager. Since, your pay is directly tied to this, this will cause issues in your ability to quickly rise through promotions and make more money. I have had several managers over the years, and most don't actually know how to manage a project or individuals. They essentially promote people to managers based on length of service and knowing the right people, rather than focusing on who would actually be a really good manager. There is a total lack of career agency. You will be a cog in the wheel.
