Pros

-Pay is actually respectable in todays day and age -Benefits are good -Travel opportunities

Cons

-Being forced to work onsite when the client works remotely is annoying and shows that remote work for this job is possible -Your happiness depends on what site you are placed in -Management has a lot to work on, I have heard very demeaning things about employees that show culture is not really an important value to upper management -Your skills become stagnant if you stay with the company. SQL and C# will only take you so far if you wish to move elsewhere in the future -They will force you to relocate at a moments notice so you can't get attached to anywhere

Pros

Pay is good and you do get compensated for overtime Solid Health coverage and average Dental coverage Paid relocation

Cons

Some projects you will be working 60+ hours a week while other projects struggle to hit the target of 40 hours of OT in a calendar year Backstabbing, gossiping, and brown nosing is common. If you don't fit the Bro-y or alcoholic standards prepare to be ostracized and stuck on bad projects. Lots of empty promises about caring about mental health and work/life balance but management gives empty platitudes about "sometimes sacrifices have to be made and you need to toughen up" Now that working remote is becoming more standard in the industry, leadership is dragging their feet even harder. Even our clients are working from home. If you are not a straight white man, strongly consider different opportunities. Constant insensitive remarks from both coworkers and the agencies you work with. I spent my entirety of my employment in the closet because it quickly became apparent to me that if I just grinned and bore the hateful jokes and dehumanizing comments, I'd get paid more and would more likely be placed on better projects. I am a former employee, but I still keep in contact with current employees and have seen that the issues not only are still being ignored but are getting worse.

Toxic Culture, Bad Management

Pros

Good benefits and decent pay.

Cons

During my time at FAST, I encountered notable challenges that affected my overall experience. While I anticipated a flexible work environment, there were inconsistencies in the remote work policy. Specifically, I was initially told before being hired that I would have the flexibility to work remotely two days a week. However, after starting, this arrangement was unexpectedly changed on numerous occasions. Moreover, the office atmosphere proved to be less than ideal for a positive work environment. I experienced firsthand a manager who exhibited both misogynistic and abelist behavior. This manager was excessively controlling and belittling, impacting not only my experience but also that of several other employees. Given these experiences, I would strongly advise individuals, especially those with disabilities and from minority groups, to carefully evaluate whether this company aligns with their values and needs before considering employment.
