Expectation to move every few years gets difficult after a while. A lot of your experience is also dependent on the client that you end up working with. All of the software that you work with is proprietary. This is only a minor downside, but if you change jobs, most companies are looking for familiarity with specific tools that are not used at FAST.

The lows are very low. Executives still mentally living in the 20th Century with how they treat employees. Forced return-to-office even when client is remote. Making employees use personal devices for mandatory training. Made employees use wfh bank when client office was closed. It won’t matter how proactive you are if your manager doesn’t care. You will be thrown under the bus. I was laid off after returning from protected leave, despite showing interest in job growth and willingness to help other teams/departments. I was denied the option to transfer into another role despite there being job openings. Their reasoning for laying me off didn’t seem transparent since they didn’t give me any sense I was underperforming or guidance on how to improve.
