Pros
It was enjoyable seeing families having fun, but that was it.
Cons
After four days of employment, they let me go due to my performance. However, during those four days, I only got positive comments on my performance. Never any constructive feedback. The onboarding process was disorganized and the management was often late to training or opening the facility for guests. When brainstorming ways to get people in the doors, they would ignore my ideas to call the local daycares or after school programs and instead make me call the people who had birthday parties with us the previous year. Most of those calls were rejections but they never saw a need to change strategy. Working for the managers was incredibly frustrating as they were related and constantly gossiping rather than assisting me at the front desk. I would be there alone struggling with a register system I learned earlier that day and no one would come to my rescue. They told me to tell them if I needed to slow down the learning which I did after learning three different POS systems, how to make food in the kitchen, how to open the facilities, run laser tag, bowling, and the arcade, as well as all that my job as event manager involved, and they said no. I would not recommend it to anyone.
