      Good place to work

      Pros

      Stable company and good pay for part time work. There is a casual dress code. Pay is fixed by position and normally there is an increase every spring. Part time work does offer contributing to the 401K.

      Cons

      A little lack of communication from management. Part time work does not pay holidays and vacation pay does not even start accruing till after one full year. I think you accrue about 15 hours a year. Evening work does not guarantee a certain amountof hours. Since the pay scale is fixed all employees in your same job title receive the same pay.

      A good ol boy trucking company that FedEx bought

      Pros

      You can put on your resume that you worked at a company with great global brand recognition.

      Cons

      At least in the Freight business unit, the company management still works on the "good ol' boy" network, and it's roots in the Arkansas company FedEx bought still shows every day. Cutting edge people from progressive companies may fing working at FXF a bit like going back in time. People have been fired for making "red neck jokes" as management thinks the joker is making fun of HQ in Arkansas. Many senior managers lack BA/BS degree

      Pros

      Solid company, you don't really have to worry about the company going under. Information Technology is pretty up-to-date.

      Cons

      Most employees are now considered casual so there are no more medical benefits or holiday pay, even for the office staff.
