      Pros

      You get to sell the best insurance product available for petro marketers, equipment dealers, auto dealers, contractors, machine shops, and print shops. The company provides excellent training, and pays very well.

      Cons

      This job requires a ton of work. In the marketing role you act as a consultant more than a salesperson. Federated requires that you see each client 4 times per year to discuss succession planning and risk management--- some really enjoy this aspect of the job, others would prefer to free to sell and cultivate new accounts.

      Pros

      Excellent training program. Good people in alot of the different service offices. Decent bonuses and paid time off. The do appear to be family oriented.

      Cons

      Good ole boys club. Difficult to advance. Expectations are too high, lots of stress and employees are overworked. Management does not listen.

      Freedom to handle claims as they come in - managers are very helpful and there is plenty of knowledge available to bounce questions off of good benefits profit sharing great entry level position - Federated is known & respected in the industry & working for them will move you up the ladder at other companies

      Cons

      insurance claims are tough - if you are going to handle claims this is one of the best companies to do it with
