Pros

Benefits, relocation accommodations, financially secure company

Cons

To get anything done (updating showroom tags or a new card reader)is a lengthy process. Excessive punishment to undeserving employees.

Pros

In the 10 years I was there I worked with some of the greatest people ever. Nice employee discounts, good match on 401k, once again the people you work make the job.

Cons

It's who you know, not what you know. 50-60 hour weeks, very little appreciation given and upper management doesn't know the difference between being a great leader vs. just a manager. They lost touch with what incredible customer service is and how at one point it separated Ferguson from everyone else. Flat 1-2% annual increases and after helping them achieve record breaking years the bonuses are insulting to the effort that was given. You're made to believe you're not worth what you're paid and you should feel lucky to receive a 2% increase. There was a time I'd never leave that company for anything because I truly believed in their upper management and philosophy but how quickly things change when you become another AA #. Current and past associates will know what I mean by that comment.

Pros

Good retirement plan and benefits. Pay can be above average. Challenging environment with plenty to learn. Bonuses are nice if you are lucky enough to be in the bonus pool.

Cons

Ferguson is now run by different management , They have implemented their Business Management Initiative (BMI). Now career paths are vague, pay is lower, advancement is non-existant . But there are alot more Managers that you never see or hear from who are making decisions that the workers have no knowledge of or input. Tech equipment and programs are stuck in the 80's. Still green screen and dot matrix printers. Crappy branch managers.
