Managers have the tendency to play favorites and favorites get all kinds of perks like being able to come in after 9am and leave at 4pm, the option to work from home, taking whole weeks for vacation, and having little supervision (multiple 20 minute coffee breaks, chatting with friends, and making personal phone calls every single day). Other employees are expected to work until after 6pm (even later than some of the managers) doing the bulk of the work with no breaks and little to no vacation while being micro-managed every step of the way.
