Pros

Internal transitions available. Get higher sal at each one. So not too shabby. Would recommend finding a good manager. Yep

Cons

Managers promoted from politics rather than skill. French majors as IT heads, HR majors running analytics departments without knowledge of how to work with data. As a result poorly managed

Pros

Good coworkers (management is a different story), plenty of relocation opportunities, decent starting salary, good benefits. Good job security under normal market conditions.

Cons

Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians. The management ranks have grown exponentially over the last couple of years, but very little has been done to fortify the front lines. Not enough focus on the customer. Company is trying to re-invent the wheel with their new business model instead of keeping it simple. Most managers have to find reasons to justify their new positions. Long hours for mediocre pay - it takes an act of congress to get a worthwhile raise. 401(k) match is weak, stock purchasing plan not based on the American dollar. Out-dated technology, although there are newer systems coming in the future.
