      Compensation should be realistic and market standards to current employees too. In some cases there could be major diff in compesation between existing employees and new employees who have similar skills and exp. Technical competence in certain senior managers is not up to scratch

      Pretty good benefits, i.e. health/dental insurance, Profit Sharing,

      very much a micro management atmosphere, they squeeze so much out of the employee where it loses the joy of working. Double standards often are applied, very very political, not always based on meritocracy. Too many people (not all) have been promoted to management that were less than mediocre reps that are not qualified to lead an investment sales force. Atmosphere is going towards a robotic-like, lots of metrics/activity measures vs. just measuring performance. Current atmosphere when asking for "feedback" is not to give honest feedback, but instead, it's to provide comments that you know it's what mgmt wants to hear. Compensation structure is constantly changing and which creates a lot of anxiety.
