Pros

Great working environment. Friendly atmosphere. Micro-managing is NOT the style there, big plus for the day to day. Great reimbursement programs for things like tuition (90%), computer purchase (20%), exercise equipment ($250/yr). Flexible work environment. Fitness center. Great cafeteria options. Kitchenettes with sink, coffee pot, microwave and fridge in every area make it easier.

Cons

Corporate politics. Depending on the type of information you would be exposed to on a daily basis your own personal stock trading will be affected in the following ways: You'll need approval before every trade (buy or sell), You must hold any purchase for at least 90 days, If you do sell within 90 days you must surrender the profit.

Pros

Outstanding benfits package, beautiful campus, professional atmosphere, good work/life balance, challenging projects, and Fidelity gives back to the community.

Cons

Arbitrary performance review and bonus review ratings. As a regular worker you are very unlikely to see the E (exceptional) or O (outstanding) performance review ratings, those seemed to be reserved for managers and connected people. While many get promoted, they are usually "in-line" promotions worked out with existing managers. If you post for a higher level position on the internal job board you are unlikely to get it.

Pros

Great brand name. Able to work with newer technologies. A sense of empowerment is given but some managers are micro managers. Others are so hands off you do not get any feed back at all.

Cons

lower pay, expected to be available 24x7, poor recognition, only the managers get the credit, slow to promote. There are a lot of job positions but the qualifications are such you do not have the background necessary to be considered. Definately more of a who you know than what you know. In order to advance, it seems important to network instead of working more on an actual skill set.
