Compensation at Fidelity is extremely low. The company as an explicit policy of paying its associates far below market rate. The company cites its share programs and other ancillary benefits as a compensatory alternative. However, those benefits are doled out on a case-by-case basis. Most employees don't benefit from these programs. Also, compensation figures are arbitrary and there is a lack of transparency into compensation. Bonuses are literally figures on the back of a napkin
Management is generally clueless about the day-to-day and treats employees like indentured servants. Brown-nosing is the only way to get ahead in this company. Management only values the opinions of the sycophants within the company, which creates an acrimonious and preferential environment. The company is ultra-poltical; and, management is only concerned with appearances, as opposed to doing the right thing.
