Pros

- Niche industry where you can learn alot if you apply yourself - Decent PTO / med benefits

Cons

- "Work hard play hard" mentality - expected to be on call 24/7 whenever SR staff need anything. Including weekends, evenings, holidays.... - Tiny office - talking out loud, laughing, being friendly with coworkers is discouraged b/c literally everyone will hear - No culture or perks to speak of except for a K-cup machine - Barely any training but screw ups are always 100% your fault - Your personal life WILL be discussed behind closed doors and made fun of - You're supposed to be happy with low pay b/c it's such a priviledge to be working here - They talk alot about ownership culture but the partners are the only ones that matter, everyone else is replaceable - CEO is passive aggressive and acts like a stereotypical hotshot type-A. Totally focused on making more $$, clients/his own staff are just accessories to that. Plays favorites

Pros

The firm has been around for 50 years and are well respected in the industry. Each team/division definitely know their field and always put their clients first. Overall they definitely have their clients' best interest in mind and are honest in dealing with them. The team I worked with were calm, level-headed, and always made themselves available to answer any questions.

Cons

Unfortunately, the firm is ultra conservative in regard to changing any of its processes and take a “this is how its always been done, so no point in changing it” approach. Although the firm is well respected, their competitors have made the financial investments in attracting and retaining key talent and making the improvements in IT/tech infrastructure that have left Fieldman Rolapp playing a serious game of catch up that will take a significant amount of time to address. Additionally, the turnover at the associate level is high and unfortunately results in the loss of new ideas and more efficient workflow improvements. Spend some time and money into making your deliverables standardized across all teams within the firm as well as revising all your powerpoints/RFPs by paying an excellent graphics designer. The current powerpoints/RFPs leave a lot to be desired in regard to appearance, and unfortunately show the firm''s age.
