Pros

It’s not a difficult job to do.

Cons

The pay, the time you have to be there (completely unnecessary), and you do work outside your job title.

Pros

Commercial banking provides a stable career with potential for upward mobility. If looking for a career with solid pay and benefits and not overly demanding or challenging work, this is probably the way to go.

Cons

In general, banking is a very hierarchical structure with lots of conflict of interest between the RMs pushing deals, sometimes ones that should not go through. Deals can take forever to go through, and the environment is not fast paced. If looking for something that is challenging and fast-paced, I would recommended something else.
