Pros

The customers Area managers either quit or are fired every few months, as the stress they are under cause them severe health problems. So if that’s your career goal you can get a shot.

Cons

-CEO has no idea how far the bank has fallen from when he took over -Wells Fargo culture has invaded from the top down -Profit driven, nothing else matters, so profit driven you have to attend an all day training class explaining the banks profitability and how every single decision is based on the profits it makes the bank with no concern for people -I could go on for hours of how this bank destroyed my self confidence and health, bank promotes individuals who openly support lgbt due to fear of discrimination, I’ve never worked somewhere where you know everyone’s sexual preference and are openly told to support it if you want to move up, I was told to go to a gay pride parade, top producers are kept in their role regardless of reviews and merit. Worst turnover of any bank I’ve ever worked for, around 75% turnover in 3 year period.

Pros

Bankers hours. Branch coworkers often became like family. Lot of community involvement, which I always felt was genuine.

Cons

Poor regional management. Sales goals were completely unreasonable. Unethical sales practices were overlooked when those doing it were viewed as high performers. They talked a good game about doing what was right for the customer, but in the end they only cared about sales. Branches were ALWATS understaffed. Half the branches were not open on Saturday, and those people were never expected to step up and cover a Saturday at another branch near them. You NEVER get a proper raise when being promoted from within, and annual raises are a joke.

Pros

Decent Pay. Good Company Ethics. Great training courses and education opportunities. Growing company. Benefits are okay. Great promotions to bring new customers. Like to promote from within. Great consultative sales experience.

Cons

The goals keep getting raised and the bonuses keep getting smaller. Hard to get loans approved. Too many trackers make employees feel micro managed. High production employees are allowed to fly under radar with mistakes and issues as long as they produce.
