Pros

Used to have a small company feel (2017-2019 ish). Exposure to a wide array of customers/industries.

Cons

The company rode a wave of new business in 2H 2020 due to Covid. By 2023, that had all but disappeared and senior leadership had adjusted financial guidance downward twice by September 2023. I worked there for almost seven years, and 2/3 of my former managers were fired last year. Constant restructuring and leadership promotions in my time at Porex, and zero motivation among leadership to create a unified tiered title system. It's left to each department manager, so in one department a 20 year employee may have the same title as a new college grad. Used to have a small company feel where people were cared about, but moved exclusively to company-wide emails of "So and so is no longer associated with the company." Expect your first raise to be pro-rated based on how many months of the previous year you worked there.

Pros

Mission and Purpose is admirable and real for the front line employees and sales. The products are good and stabile in consistent markets.

Cons

The structural changes are so frequent that progress is impossible. The previous CEO and Financial Leaders were unethical and unreliable, the new CEO is toxic, and even appeared half asleep, drunk and hung over at our leadership event for his speaking engagements. He openly yells and has anger issues. Several members of his exec team do not speak to each other. They are a true discredit to the great work done in the businesses.
