Pros

I can't think if anything.

Cons

Company doesn't tell the employees the truth about what is going on within the company. They are at best sneaky with being honest with their customers. When the next wave of people leave in the middle of May the US market is going to take an epic hit to revenue. I have never seen morale in a company so low ever.

Pros

People in the first and second tier management that I worked with are all very nice. We are like a poor but happy family.

Cons

Severely gutted the harmony of the whole workforce across all locations (US is what I'm aware of). Sudden and swift "great purges" were done and most of the seniors who worked for close to 2 decades from previous acquisitions are shown the door. All these people have the proprietary hands on knowledge of the cash cow products. Now the management's plans are to resurrect new teams in offshore locations that can learn the 20+ years of knowledge in 2 weeks to 2 months and be productive with customers. That explains why I'm still in the lowest strata of the pyramid and the decision makers definitely know something that I don't know of. May be they know how to make things work. That's why they have risen up the ladder. May be there are a bunch of super classified "special ops rockstar developers or prod support or business analysts billeted somewhere" and they are all waiting for the GO order. Shall we call them "Tech seals" or "Seal team - 66"? Let's hope these would now suddenly take control of the "about to happen Train wreck" and save the clients and company. Whatever are the top level decisions I wish the very best for these new teams and pray that they wouldn't encounter any production issues at least during their first 6 months of taking over. Reminds me of the emergence of "Casey Ryback" from the bunch of nondescript passengers manifesto and saving the whole train and mankind from a disaster (Under Siege-2). Good luck with that.
