Talented people are leaving

Pros

Good work life balance; my direct manager is helpful and reasonable

Cons

People are leaving, one by one, one by one.........Why? Because they wanted promotion and recognition. Coworkers are asked to recognize coworkers, but what is manager doing? Senior management only look at results and numbers to evaluate employees. A person will get a big applause if he fixed/solved 3 super easy questions, than a person who really worked hard but only fixed 2 complex bugs at the same time. Ridiculous? But that's happening here everyday.

Pros

Outstanding group of employees who are doing exceptional work over there. The employees on the commercial product side are both humble and very good people. I cannot say enough about them.

Cons

I have worked in a number of outstanding companies in my time. But the senior leadership in the Commercial Lending Product Team are easily the worst people I have worked with. Yes, you can deal with it like others and keep your job because you want to keep years of accumulated benefits. Those that have been there long enough have learned to cope, but they all state the exact same reality and put their head down and do their jobs. It's all you can do to be quite honest.

Pros

Good benefits, work/life balance was supported and peers are great to work with

Cons

Leadership is a JOKE! Definitely would never recommend this as a place to work given the basic lack of understanding senior leadership has in the financial marketplace across the US. Major layoffs to justify trying to sell the North American portfolio but because the company is run so poorly, ignores the need to eliminate technical debt, focusing on just eliminating people instead, they have failed to find a buyer time and time again. Really a shame how far this place has fallen since the change in leadership a couple of years ago.
