Working inside the Macy’s location was a constant battle with Macy’s management and employees. Company was actively trying to work to improve sales and bring in better product, but the increased pressure and work load was not met with compensation. They will pay bottom dollar unless absolutely necessary, and will expect way more from their managers than they will pay for. Hiring associates was almost impossible with low pay and only being able to offer 5-10 hours a week. Most locations don’t have the budget to have more than one employee on the clock at a time, so managers were expected to run both sales floor and stock room. Shortest job I ever worked because I couldn’t handle it any longer.
