Pros

-Great for learning communication skills and exercising the effectiveness of product knowledge. -Discount is useful (When allowed to be used). -Opportunity to meet good people.

Cons

(This depends greatly on the management focus in the store) -Asked to work extended hours on little to no notice with no regard to personal plans. -Training takes longer than it should. -Large amount of dissatisfaction and blame when results aren't as expected. -The sales results you do have will never be good enough. Even on a gain.

Pros

Great for learning how to sell item. Also a great stepping stone for a overall selling job.

Cons

I was promised managment 2 times and both times they brought someone else in to fill the position. Also pay raises were supposed to be based on selling performance, but every time raises came around i was bumped the same as everyone else even though my selling average was 2 times as much.
