Pros

Finally, it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel. Under Kevin's leadership, things are coming in place. Great technology, great people and good perks. work-life is now very balanced. Great snack bar, daily fruits, Wednesday Bagels and free electric car charge. Pay is competitive and fair.

Cons

No 401K. Stock price is depressed for long time. Options, ESPP, RSUs are underwater. Lunch is catered and it sucks most of the time (especially for vegetarians).

Pros

My time at FireEye has been like riding a wild roller coaster ride. I've been here for years and went through the twists and turns of becoming a publicly traded company. We're now focused on becoming profitable and the ride has changed to into something a little more controlled but still fun nevertheless. With Dave DeWalt at the helm or Kevin Mandia today, you always felt both cared deeply about the company and the employees that drive it. Great team around the globe. Those that shouldn't have been here in the first place are mostly washed out now. It's just a phenomenal group of people to work with everywhere you go, and you'll have trouble finding smarter people in cyber security at any tech company. Benefits are good, pay is good. The CEO is a major Pro for FireEye.

Cons

No matching 401K. Sadly somewhat common in youngish tech companies. Hopefully this will change down the line. The path to profitability is a little painful at times.

Pros

Affordable Benefits but just don't use them or take Medical Leave or else they will eliminate your position. I have watched several people try to take Medical Leave and never came back after Medical Leave was up as their position was eliminated. HR is NOT your friend at this place.

Cons

FEDERAL "Team" is a true example of broken management and a BOYS CLUB!!!! I have never seen so many "teammates" stab each other in the back for a commission. Management (all Men) have their favorites and if your a woman good-luck getting a job! Past females that have worked on this team left or switched teams as they got sick of the blond jokes that came straight from management. This company tries to spin that they are women friendly as they have a few women execs at HQ in CA but it is quite opposite on the Federal Team. The execs in CA have no idea what was really going on in Federal. Management would literally pull you in a room before the execs came in town for the quarterly business reviews and tell us to not say one negative thing "or else" type of talk. So there was no thinking out of the box and or talking about issues that needed fixed. They portrayed a "perfect" team for years and the execs didn't have a clue to the reality of the distinction. Executive Team were all so full of themselves that they wouldn't even sit with any "non execs" at club trips and or sales kick off meetings. The only execs that cared about the sales team and or anyone but themselves were two of the WW Sales Managers a few years ago and they both got let go. One gracefully took the billet when they missed their number for the first time. VP Level Management is the worst in my opinion as they were so busy fudging numbers to make themselves look good they forgot about customers. It was all about manipulating a spreadsheet. They knew how to add the letter I to TEAM like I have never seen before. When they started missing their number they had every excuse to not pay commissions. I can not tell you how many co-workers that were owed commissions. They would say their sending it to the sales review board for approval that only met once a month or every other month. They had so many people fighting for commissions it took nearly six months for a review to happen on an owed commission that didn't get approved as too much time passed. NO LIE! Who does this- YEP FIREEYE! For many years they were not paying on services. Another excuse to not pay commissions.
