Pros

Exposure to ALL aspects of banking - so you can clearly gauge that every department offers NO opportunity, NO development for growth, NO ideal compensation, and NO PERSONALITY.

Cons

The entire company is ran on OLD - OUTDATED metrics, from a board of elders clearly operating from the 1950's from things like a manditory dress code, to compensation that barely meets US Averages. There is no growth or opportunity in the banking industry due to the rapid decline and need for banking services. Expect low pay, long days, comprised of dry interactions - if any customer interactions. Do yourself a favor and chose a better career path

Pros

Great staff & employees. Team atmosphere and environment. You never feel too far removed from upper management. Promote from within. Opportunity for growth is there when positions become available. Company and management values retaining current employees. Great support from upper management. Low turnover in many of the back office roles. Availability for company training a plus. Flexibility with work hours, depending on your role. Decent pay when compared to industry standards.

Cons

Dress code is still too old school, even for back office employees. Buildings and facilities are very outdated, and stale when compared to how companies are moving towards modern look and feel. Benefits are "ok", but definitely can be improved. Sales incentives can have a negative effect other departments in the organization. Incentive driven departments put pressure on non-incentive departments to complete tasks, step outside of procedure, etc. in order for them to get meet their goals.
