Pros

Good training program with nice colleagues. Good pay.

Cons

Everything is outdated. The headquarters in Elk Grove (yes, Elk Grove) is a trip back into the early 1980’s. Many people are confused finding the building too. I heard they just got their own computers late last year or so.

Pros

Good benefits, good training program

Cons

Unless you've been through the training, which could take up to or over a year to get into the classes, you are held back on any prior experience you have to offer. Can't even give a customer balance on the phone without being trained. Why hire someone if you aren't using their knowledge and experience?

Pros

- Great training program - Lots of people to help you with any questions - Lots of people who have been there for a while that are great to learn from - Great benefits

Cons

- Location, it is close to O'Hare airport and I live far from Elk Grove Village - Would like if it was a hybrid of 3 days in office and 2 days remote. Thats all I have!

Pros

There are opportunities for growth and visibility to leadership on a local level. You are held to high standards, and you will be pushed to produce. However, this accountability brings out the best in you. If you're looking for just a "job", this isn't the bank for you. There are branch sales goals vs individual goals, which creates a healthy, cooperative sales culture. There are robust training programs offered, which will make you prepared to serve the customers regardless if you have previous banking experience. Compensation seems very competitive for the marketplace. Overtime is rare, which results in a predictable schedule and healthy work/life balance.

Cons

Some technology needs upgrades. The bank seems to be making investments in its infrastructure, but upgrades take time. There's a very conservative dress code as well. The bank is very conscious about the image we present externally, resulting in strict standards.

Pros

The 6-month Commerical Leadership Training Program is great! I am going on month 4 and have learned so much already. Being someone that did not come from a banking background, this program has well prepared me to dive into the Commercial Lending department with confidence. For anyone looking to get into commercial lending/banking I would highly recommend looking at FAB. The team is very supportive and will always make themselves available to guide you as you grow within the company.

Cons

Located next to the city in Litte Havava. I commute from Cutler Bay, so It's a long drive. But the work from home days really helps!
