Pros

Great community bank that cares about its customers. Doesn't treat them like a number. Hours of operation are nice. Not much else nice to be said unfortunately.

Cons

Where do I begin. They're cutting hours for full timers to at least 30 hours. Part timers are being cut to 20 hours. Benefits are ok but it's a high deductible plan. You can get an HSA but the company doesn't contribute to it. Incentive is paid quarterly and is okay. Base pay is okay as well. But definite room for improvement. Corporate politics and popularity play a big part in this company if you wanna go anywhere. Not many friendly people. And the training and development need a lot of improvement as does their new system.

Pros

There are none other than most of the tellers are make the job somewhat bearable.

Cons

Unrealistic teller goals, must telemarket, low pay, low raises, FULL-TIME is now 30 hours a week (Most full-time employees, other than management, will lose a total of one week's pay per month), fired long term dedicated employees.

Pros

401k matching, good travel pay, and great employees at the branches.

Cons

I took this position as a way to gain experience coming out of college. I was hired as part time although i work 40 hour weeks often. The company has been hiring mostly just part timers to avoid having to pay health insurance and other benefits then making them work the same hours as full time employees. Complicated programs and outdated pho es, scanners, and 12 year old computers make things very frustrating. Employees are miserable most of the time and very upset and never agree with upper management changes. Advancement is unlikely. District and branch managers have been let go with no warning. Working for first commonwealth should be only for experience. Dont make it a career choice, we have FSAs who have been great employees that have been with the bank for 10 plus years that still make less compared to entry employees at other banks
