Pros

First Hawaiian Bank really does take care of their employees. Their benefits package is great, don't have to pay much out of pocker for medical/dental/vision. The teller position is ideal for a student. They are quite flexible with my schedule. If anything, it seemed as if they needed me more than I needed them.

Cons

Pay is quite low compared to industry. Pay raise is even lower, less than one percent, annually. Career progression is slow. The honest truth about FHB is it's all about who you know. I've seen a fair amount of favoritism within the company. FHB is behind on technology, not very innovative.

Pros

Everyone is treated like family. Employees are rarely ever fired, so it is a very stable company to work for as far as job security. Has one of the best benefit packages.

Cons

The technology used is very old and outdated. Pay is quite low compared to other companies. Promotions are very slow.
