Pros

Good work environment with great co-workers. Great place for an entry level job. Easy to move around company.

Cons

Hard to get a raise in lower level positions even after years with the company. Other than that, a great place to work.

Pros

First Hawaiian Bank is one of the largest employers in Hawaii with over 2000 employees. Many of the employees have been with the company for quite some time and you really become family with your coworkers. As a large employer, theres opportunity to change careers within the company - I personally know people who have done that. The company really takes care of its employees as well, with excellent benefits and work/life balance.

Cons

As a large company, sometimes it may seem that senior management is removed from what employees go through. However, they are accessible - many employees just seem "afraid" to speak their mind. Almost all of the managers worked themselves up within the company, so there isn't really any reason to hold back. There are reviews about the pay - but really, if someone's complaining about the pay, there's usually an underlying issue.
