12 hour shifts Depending on your department and skillset, there can be limitations on advancement opportunities. Production and other floor workers have little opportunity to move into the elite circles of managers, supervisors, and engineers. The company shifts poor performing managers from one job to the next instead of giving lower level employees the chance to move up. The result is that the atmosphere is very stratified with little chance for floor workers to break into higher levels of the hierarchy.
