Pros

The friends that I made that keeps me sane.

Cons

I have completely wasted my time, skills and talents here. Management has no idea nor even tried to do what it should have been doing. It gave a lot of stress to me as they are so inept and disorganized. There's no clear path to what they are trying to achieve. Everything is out of place. They are also dishonest. They will break your trust that they care about you when it fact, they don't. I should have known earlier and saved a lot of my precious time.

This review certainly reflects an opinion that is difficult to read given I couldn't disagree more. To say there is no clear path to what they are trying to achieve is as far from reality as it gets. First, our company as a documented 2020 Summary Business Plan that specifically outlines the five goals we set out to achieve this year. Each goal has KPIs that give us further direction with detail to help us be successful in getting there. In our recent culture survey our highest scores were for: - We have a shared vision of what the company will be like in the future. -We make certain that everyone is informed about what is going on across the company. Both of these were scored 90 or above out of 100. To us that indicates a clear path has been communicated and our Associates are highly engaged in getting there. The fact that we are surpassing our aggressive goals is evidence that things are not "out of place" either. First Western is on track for a great year. Lastly, saying that our Associates/Managers are "dishonest" is unfair to them. Again, our culture survey indicates a high score for, "there is a clear and consistent set of values that governs the way we do business." One of our operating principals is to, "Act with Trust and Respect/We expect and invite honesty from others." We would not have received such impressive survey results from our Associates if you were accurate. For those of you searching for a new opportunity with a company that has solid Core Values and a defined plan for the future we hope you will apply on our career page. To the Reviewer above I do wish you the best. Mike Andersen Manager, Human Capital

Land of the Toxic, Home of the Unethical

Pros

There are snacks. Just like at every other company in the area. Once in a while they get someone in HR or Marketing to start responding to all of the negative reviews so that managers can extend an offer of employment that isn't turned down once in a while. This is an improvement from the time that they started posting fake positive reviews to get their glassdoor score above a 2.0, so we can make it a pro. Just don't fall for the bad advice on here lately to go to HR. If you go to them, even with proof, HR will repeat everything you said to your manager and shortly thereafter you will be let go. I've seen it happen. Repeatedly.

Cons

This is a keep your head down and do what you're told kind of place. Do not have an opinion. Do not be certain minorities, because then managers can blame you for their own failures when they talk to their bosses, and they will. Bias reigns supreme around here and leadership could not care less. For example, one who was the only manager of her demographic was excluded from all leadership meetings for years. She had her office taken away and given to a caucasian male while she was moved into a cube and then an office alone in empty area with no one around. We could literally hear her boss yell at her for no reason from his office, even with the door closed. Land of the Toxic. The person who has been here the longest is unaffectionatly referred to as "the wicked witch of First Western" and "leader of the mean girls club." Toxicity is not only welcome, it is rewarded. There is a culture survey, but they tell us that we said different things than we did. They conveniently ignore our "cons" and then tell us how much we love being here. As if we don't talk to each other about how much we hate it here. People who are unethical do so for each other. If you tell HR about one unethical person, they will go to another unethical person to confirm it, who will lie for the one you spoke up about. Home of the unethical. Benefits package is not good. The company clearly pays next to nothing for employee benefits. I don't know a single person here who isn't trying to find a new job. It doesn't matter what you're doing now trust me and every other reviewer, it's better than this.

We are determined to provide a workplace that is free of bias or discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, sexual orientation, or physical or mental disability, and we strive to provide a positive workplace for all our employees, regardless of how long they’ve worked for our team. Equally concerning to me is the fact that you feel you cannot voice your concerns to management without fear that you will be ignored or retaliated against. We are committed to the ethical handling of all internal conflicts, and I hope that you will be willing to have a conversation with me directly. Feel free to call me in the Denver office. Thanks, Michael Andersen Manager, Human Capital

Pros

Some loyal employees have been with this company for a few years now.

Cons

Most employees leave within a few months of joining primarily because the management doesn't care about who stays and who quits. They are interested in their own good. Also, the level of office politics here is the worst I have ever seen.
