Pros

I worked at the company for almost a year as both an Instructor and Lead Instructor. Overall FirstSteps for Kids is a great company and I only have good things to say. I had little experience in the field and so it was great to receive the amazing training I did. Not only do they focus on theoretical training, but they also do overlaps and ease you into running sessions independently. The staff with more experience, especially the Program Directors, are incredible and are always willing to help. Communication within the staff is also a positive of this company. They are also great with working with you in terms of hours and location. Support in terms of wanting to advance in the field is always there as well. This company is truly amazing and I would definitely recommend it and come back in the future.

Cons

Other than the complications that come with scheduling, there are no cons.

Pros

I've been employed at this company for 11 years, and what has kept me here all this time is its inspiring mission, ethical values, and friendly people. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in multiple roles within the organization, and I’m especially grateful for the consistent opportunities for growth and development. The encouraging environment has allowed me to cultivate my skills and grow into subsequently more challenging and rewarding leadership roles within the company.

Cons

Not quite a con, but this company allocates much of its resources to ensuring a robust, fun and effective training program for employees new to their roles, which I found to have a huge impact on my training experiences here. I am hopeful that as the company grows, it will gain additional resources to financially compensate team members even better than it currently does.
