Pros

Beautiful Homes Good Training Program Good Hours

Cons

I am not writing this as a bitter employee. I did very well while I was working there and was placed in great communities. That being said, trust me when I say this is not a company you want to work for. The Indianapolis division has been falling apart for some time now and its only getting worse. Anyone who has worked for a large company can see this right away, which is why they are targeting college kids and selling them pipe dreams, stringing them along long enough to maintain their employment numbers. They start out by telling you that their average sales reps make $160k. This is an absolute lie. The majority of the communities are struggling and they barely ever hit their sales goals as a division. This is due to the outrageously over-priced homes and their lack of competitiveness in the market. They pay ZERO attention to what is going on around them and continue to feed salespeople the same bs about how they are just a "different" type of builder instead of making the necessary adjustments to continue to drive sales. They also put 100% of the blame of why the homes aren't selling, on the sales people. Every Friday they lower the team morale by bashing the sales team for not doing things correctly, when in reality, they have a crappy way of staying organized as a whole. All of their processes are terribly planned, they make changes without informing anyone about them and then punish you for not knowing. They cant hold on to managers because they have heavy pressure from upper management but no support. Can you make a $40k salary for 90 days? yes you can. I can assure you it is not worth it though because once you are an official sales counselor, you enter a draw where you start to owe them money and if you arent selling any homes, like the majority of the sales team, you start to accrue a debt that eats away at any sale that actually happens. I am only writing this because I would hate to see you waste your time at a dying company. There are a plethora of other places that pay you a $40k base in Indianapolis that are actually worth your while.

Pros

Nice product, good training program

Cons

Management claims to care, they're only concerned with their bonuses and covering themselves to their boss. They do not follow up with you about tasks or responsibilities. They have a Big Brother culture, so you constantly feel like eyes are on you. If you mess anything up, you're on an unspoken probation with leadership.
