Pros

Health insurance plans are affordable Mileage reimbursement

Cons

The office culture is toxic. Management is click-y and there is a lot of bad-talking/gossiping about customers. On an almost daily basis employees either internal operations or in the design center make judgmental comments towards customers. The negativity spreads like poison throughout the office. Company is currently working on a much-needed retention plan because employees keep leaving. They hire left and right and have a serious problem keeping people around. Pay is below average

Pros

Not a single one I can think of.

Cons

Besides being the worst, cheapest home builder the atmosphere sucks here. The use T-ply for exterior sheathing. Which for people who don’t know that’s a fancy cardboard. Once you start working there you really realize how bad of homes they build. Then the atmosphere in the company sucks. They are currently in the works to create a team to help with retention of employees. That’s how quick people leave here. If you look at any job board Fischer is constantly hiring because people quit as fast as they can hire. Management is horrible, if you ask for help just figure you are going to get thrown under the bus. It’s no wonder most of the superintendents have left to go to other better builders. I just hope this review keeps at least one person from making the worst mistake of their life. DO NOT WORK HERE!!!!!!
