Think twice before working here

Pros

Fast paced. Talented people. Quick decision making.

Cons

Controlling leadership. Zero trust in their people. Mandated 4 days in the office. Threats to reduce bonus for ppl who don't work from the office. CEO tracks badge-ins. Rumors he also tracks key strokes on computers. Minimal diversity at the top. Almost all older, white men with no stated goals to increase diversity. Only invest in Sales. Product take, finance , commercial, Marketing, etc all under resourced. . Career advancement more of a factor of whether someone powerful like you vs actual skills assessment. Please note that I am well positioned and well regarded, so this isn't a review from someone who has been passed over. It's a review from someone disheartened and no longer proud to work here. If I knew then what I know now, I would have chosen a different path.

Pros

Good people in mid-level management positions.

Cons

Fiserv has made a one-size-fits-all with a return to work. Employees have been told to either return to the office or be prepared to be let go. A huge number of employees have been told to either move across the country or they will be let go. Many others have just been let go effective 12/20 while the Omaha sites are hiring at a rapid rate. There have been so many layoffs that no one feels secure in their current role. First data has taken over the company and has left no room for original Fiserv employees. It's sad really.

Cultural shift

Pros

It's a job that pays more than unemployment benefits with some health insurance

Cons

There has been a precipitous decline in employee satisfaction lately. Fiserv used to be a very good place to be prior to the First Data merger. The cultural clash seems to have worked its way among the rank and file, and changes to policy has negatively impacted morale. JY effectively cashed out and left his people to the slaughter.
