Pros

The majority of the employees are knowledgeable and cooperative; teams want to work together to the benefit of the clients. The salaries are competitive, and they offer a structured matching 401k program.

Cons

Medical benefits are terrible, and raises are miserly. Middle-management does not treat employees with respect, and unqualified people are promoted because they are more easily manipulated. Process overrides logic to the detriment of projects. Overtime is expected regularly. Managers can be vindictive on reviews if challenged.

Pros

Its a job. So many still out of work. There are some really hard working people here.

Cons

This is not the place to build a technical career. Only management are allowed to have ideas that are acted on. This is because they are intimidated and fear being out-shined by their employees. What an unhealthy culture. While Google and Apple are about growth and innovation, Fiserv is about keeping the status quo. All change is bad all the time. Dont expect any training that will keep your skills relevant. No matter how many hours you routinely work or how profoundly you improve a process or practice you will NEVER be seen as anything but "average". You are not allowed to excel here because then they would have to reciprocate you for that. That is something that they dont do. Its pretty clear that the "good" reviews on this site are seeded by management or one of the PR efforts to counter the truth. A better investment would be to reboot the culture. Emulate one that works on all cylinders.

Pros

Unfortunately, there are very "few good men and women" at Fiserv overall. My manager and my team at IS were wonderful. It's a shame they had to leave as well. Good luck IS - now part of Fiserv.

Cons

Leadership is always questionable. It's all about who you know and not what you know. Regular layoffs have become the norm in this organization. It's all about trying to meet NOP just so that senior management can get their bonuses. Health benefits are pitiful. I love how Corporate HR tries to make it sound like Fiserv offers excellent benefits compared to the market. I had to try my best NOT to go to the doctor in fear of having to pay out my ridiculous deductible. I couldn't afford it.
