Pros

At the end of the day it's a paycheck and they subsidize food which is nice as lunch is the only enjoyable time of day at Fiserv.

Cons

No leadership, No training, Poor compensation unless you're at the top, No communication from senior management, extremely top heavy.

Incompetent management

Pros

Ability to work from home. Most team members very willing to assist.

Cons

My last manager was one of the worst I've ever had. She could not make the simpliest decisions without asking her manager. No guidance or feedback given to her staff, even when asked directly. If you were part of the old EDS group, no problem. Hired after Fiserv purchased EDS, watch out you don't belong. It's now what you know it's who you know. The annual reduction in force takes from all groups, even profitable ones, to fund the under performing product lines.

Pros

Stated CORE values are outstanding. Written vision and customer perspectives are laudable. Ability to access and compete in various aggressive markets (domestic & international) is nearly unrivaled.

Cons

Personal growth is nearly non-existent. Rapidly declining emphasis on real talent and experience. Focus on highly specialized (narrow) work requirements and continual decrease in headcount. Not the company to choose if you want relevant experience and challenge to your transferable skill sets. Feeding off the success and wisdom of prior management, the shareholders are gaining their returns at the expense of evisceration of leadership talent.
