Pros

Very flexible, lots of interesting problems to solve.

Cons

The company is still trying to get fully organized and running smoothly. Culture efforts are hit and miss sometimes. Management sometimes feels disconnected from normal employees.

Pros

Great work/life balance. I never had to work overtime in the 3 years I was there. Fishbowl is full of amazing people who are a joy to work with. Has a relaxed but productive dev environment. After the private equity acquisition developers are paid much more competitively. Fully remote options. Monthly team lunches for those who are in commuting distance. Lots of snacks and drinks in the office. Christmas bonuses, work anniversary office upgrades, swag, culture.

Cons

Other departments' experience with the private equity acquisition have been negative (pay cuts, job satisfaction). Dev is facing some staffing shortages since many developers found it to be a convenient time to make career changes, despite all the beneficial dev department changes. Family health insurance plans are not as cheap as other software companies in Utah Valley.
