Pros

First to see new merchandise, store discount on already cheap stuff. Good music plays in the store while you work.

Cons

Low pay. Mandatory on call shifts without compensation, ridiculous demands such as being on register for hours with no one to cover bathroom breaks, not allowed to drink water during shift but they make you loudly greet all customers walking in the door so you have a sore throat by the end of your shift. Ridiculous expectations like putting out 100 pieces of stock on already bursting full shelves. Pressure to collect email addresses from every customer that effects your hours and how management treats you. No break room. Management ignores your requested schedule (for school, vacation, etc) and makes you cover the shift. Managers tend to be really immature and play favorites so you have to kiss butt (get them lunch on your own time, listen to their problems) so you can get good shifts and be treated well. I've had a couple retail and a fast food job and this was the worst and most unprofessional group.

Pros

Chance of employment to be dragged through the mud.

Cons

I'm my perspective it's a waste of time. Your scheduled to work a 3-4 hr shift and considering gas and how far you drive your wasting more gas then you are getting at $7.25 an hr. They "promote within" is a joke, when I was hired with another person there was two people who have been with the company for over 3 years that are very hard working and the employee I started with became a key hold after only a moth of being there. The location I worked for the manager was a racist, I watched her talk to applicants when they would walk in, she instantly turned anyone who wasn't white away and told them "I'll review your application and give you a call" but as soon a white person walked in she have them an interview in the spot! I witnessed first hand during seasonal, a black employee clocked out for lunch and was heading to the back to sit in the lunch area and was told he couldn't go into the back because he wasn't in the clock and he said "but the microwave is back there I need to warm up my food" and she said "okay we'll after you have to go outside" mean while other employees have eaten in the back. The main managers would gossip with other employees below them telling them about private employee business and discipline their employees at the register in front of customers instead of taking the situation in closed doors. this company is a joke and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, considering the courtesy that's been bestowed upon me and the district managers and Hr. Haven't done anything about it! DONT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!
