      Pros

      You can work short shifts, You've got reasonable management expectations for a majority of situations. There's little risk of injury, and you're not expected to know everything. So long as you work and do your job with an intention of efficiency, the jobs a cake walk.

      Cons

      The customers, man. They can really get extra for little reason. Between price discrepancies over 10 cents, and customers not being able to recognize that you're unable to help them while actively helping another customer. They will sit there and leave half the basket for you to return the items to their proper homes. Then theres the people who will sit there and SEE you working on a display, and still wreck it, right in front of your face.

      - Slow days during the week - Cool items to buy and you get a discount

      - usually have to stay longer than expected if closing - Store / back rooms can get really unorganized

      Fast pace work, makes the days go faster Nice co-workers

      Cons

      Terrible pay if you’re a crew member trying to support a family. If you’re a teenager looking for a little spending money it’s a good first job. They give bonuses to upper management but none of it trickles down to the crew actually putting items on the shelves. They don’t even give you enough extra cash to stock the break room with snacks. A little appreciation goes a long way but Five Below doesn’t see that. I’ve been here a few years and never had a performance review. I think they avoid those so they never have a give you a raise.
