Pros

Cool products, good discount, ability to pick up extra shifts, for the most part, management will work with you if you have another job- but this is only for part time employees. There is definitely room to grow in the company, and the company is rapidly growing!

Cons

Part time employees will be lucky to get more than 5hours a week in non busy seasons. Call offs and no shows are common so the store is often left short handed on the busiest of days. The store is constantly moving product and expects it to be completed ina certain time frame, but also throws other projects at you at the same time. As a manager it can be truly overwhelming... The amount of freight the stores receive is generally unfair. So much backstock you can't seem to organize the stockroom, then you're missing product from the sales floor because there isn't room for it all. No matter how hard some people work, you'll always have at least one manager who isn't pulling their weight. Pay is not good. Minimum wage for sales associates, slight bump for freight crew. I truly think I'm getting paid less than a recently hired equivalent only because I'm a female...

Pros

Five Below is a good first job. Most of our staff was young and vibrant and we really enjoyed working and helping sell some of the products. The environment was fast-paced and interesting.

Cons

I personally experienced a lot of problems with management. My manager wasn't very flexible with my college schedule and often tried to force me to come in on days and at times that I told them I was unavailable for school. In the end, I left because I felt disrespected by them constantly trying to push my boundaries.

Pros

Good first or temporary job

Cons

After the holidays, hours were cut down becuase of keeping 3 out of the 6 that were hired for the holidays. Pay is minimum wage and tasks assigned deserve more
