Management has never worked anywhere else so they are behind with methods. No support just empty promises. There is no standard for hiring and there is no team work. The expectations are unacheivable with the resources available. This is a horrible career move for anyone who has a drive to be successful. You need to have gone to the police academy to be successful working here!

Pay is a big one. They do cuts about once a year and you can go years without a raise. Rank and File employees are rif'ed pretty often. For some reason, management is really focused on keeping people who they would probably be better letting go. There are some groups that are very old school b/c the same person has been running them for 20 years. Very HR run business, so be careful about what your manager promises you b/c HR may not agree. I struggled with the cultural ideas b/c they say one thing and do another. The group you are in can be the difference between a good experience and bad experience. Be careful if you are a star employee b/c a lot will get put on your plate. No snacks or any fun events. You work and that's about it.
