Great directors, some horrible Exective Assistants, loss of perks
Pros
Overall was pretty standard in terms of pay and hours for the industry. Many directors were fantastic and really represent the company in a positive light. The company supports many environmental and charitable initiatives. There were some good and great Executive Assistants - the only ones with issues were the Senior Executive Assistants.
Cons
They were cutting lots of the perks and there was talk that more were lined up to be cut. I understand that we are going through a pandemic but part of the draw of working at a start-up is the perks. It's a counterbalance to the long hours that we have to occasionally put in. Not much organization and coherent leadership in the Recruiting department. I feel like it could have easily been remedied if anyone cared enough to take action. The problem is that no one wants to take responsibility. This is pervasive throughout the company,; the idea of "it's good enough". It doesn't matter how broken a process is, if it can limp and drag itself along it's good enough. The Senior Executive Assistants. Full-stop. A couple are great, but there are a couple that are not and one in particular that is self-important, dismissive, rude, and just an all around nightmare to deal with. Working with the Executive Assistants is a huge part of the job and she made it so unnecessarily complicated. Worst part is that she's been there the longest so she's probably not going anywhere. Beware.
