Pros

I worked with some truly remarkable people who are doing very important research. The setting is equally spectacular; not many people get to work in such an outstanding physical setting.

Cons

Bureaucracy, budget cuts, and siloed work environments. Since the economic downturn started in 2007, the university has suffered one budget cut after another.

Cons

A heirarchical system of management that encourages unhealthy competition. The budget cuts also contribute to a lack of job stability and reluctance to promote employees.
