The pay is generally competitive and the coworkers are nice.

Cons

Horrible senior leadership team. Senior leadership is out of touch with reality and very self serving. The political game at BCBSF is overwhelming. It is very much a who - you - know culture. The company expects more and more out of employees while giving them fewer resources to perform the job. I was with the company for 10 years. During my last year, I had to buy my own supplies. I had enough and found a much better job at a much better company.

The company offers great (affordable) Health/Dental/Vision benefits. The casual atmosphere makes it as relaxing as possible in a fast-paced environment. Highlights are compensation, diverse workplace, and encouragement of self-development.

Cons

The company prides itself on promoting from within, however the particular area in which I work does not regularly promote employees intradepartmentally or otherwise.
