Pros

You will learn plenty on the job and will have the ability to squeeze out as many molecular techniques as you want to learn

Cons

This job was the worst financial decision I have made. I was promised a full time pay and was paid only 25th a week for 8 months back in 2020. No benefits, terrible hours, little to no sympathy for life events that may occasionally interfere with the job.

Pros

Graduate assistants receive a tuition waiver for 9 credit hours. A bi-weekly stipend is also included. Great opportunity to work closely with professors and mentors, as well as mentor undergraduate students.

Cons

You are expected to work 10 hours a week, thus, if you have a packed schedule and lack the time, this may not be a great option for you.
