Pros

Benefits are great. Community feel to the university. Tuition scholarships for employees. Every winter you receive at least a week off between Christmas and New Years where the university is closed.

Cons

Salary is way below average for the expertise required for positions. Lack of uniformity in month to month policies. Employees rely on the expertise of people around them because many centralized training classes are generalized and do not actually teach you the step-by-step or background of why things are done certain ways, creating employees that can't make informed decisions when outlying situations happen.

Pros

Hands-on experience that allows you to learn the basics of marketing and promotions for collegiate athletics. Work in office and at events, with very flexible hours. The staff is great to work for and is always open to any ideas or suggestions.

Cons

Can be time consuming if you work a lot of events and there isn't a ton of opportunity to be hired after graduation because it is such a small company. Overall, no major cons it is a great experience.
