Pros

Flexible hours, competitive pay, free movies, free promotional materials, fantastic management and programming, relaxed environment, easy to work with school and extracurricular schedules.

Cons

The occasional late night movies will leave you with getting out of work well after two in the morning. Other than this there were no real negatives to the job.

The teaching environment is good and relaxed. Students generally know the basics of maintaining a comfortable learning atmosphere. The facility is well maintained.

Cons

There are something that can be improved besides the bad economy. There could be higher salary compare to other jobs opportunities. The badly maintained course website system is another thing that can be improved.

At FSU, you are around some very interesting and intelligent coworkers. Mostly, it's a relaxed atmosphere. The students coming and going mean that there are always new and interesting people to know. The institution has reasonable computer network support, and benefits similar to other government positions.

Cons

Salaries below the commercial sector. There is very limited chance for advancement unless you are an academic. There are multiple examples of senior employees who have very limited real-world experience. Salaries are currently frozen a the university. The University has very limited capabilities for working from home. There is no accessible VPN. Parking is a nightmare.
