Pros

The only aspect of my job that kept me at Flowers for so long, was my co-workers. We were a tightly knit group that worked well together. That is the only part of the job that made it hard to leave.

Cons

Nepotism. Over-management. Micro-management. Lack of communication, and above all else, you are made to feel small, unappreciated, and inferior. I have never been so depressed, or dissatisfied with my life as I was as a Flowers employee. Long story short, stay away. The grass is greener elsewhere.

Pros

Never a dull week. Loved working with customers and helping grow our market. As long as you did your job properly, you were left alone to manage the business. Quality product. Most of the upper management was accessible and easy to get along with and talk to.

Cons

2-2.5 hour radius we were required to cover and service. Incredibly difficult to meet corporate expectations. If an issue happened on the top of the territory, you prayed any others didn't fall below branch. Could spend all day on the road virtually doing very little. Upper management didn't care if issues happened 10 hours into the day and you were hours away from location with other work obligations already on your plate. They wanted it done and every other thing you were doing to prevent more from happening. Prepared for 12 hours everyday and saw many turn into 14+. Identity became the job in the end. 60-80 hrs was a normal week. High driver turnover. Constantly training.

Pros

The money used to be good, but they haven’t changed the ROP in a decade so now it’s only ok

Cons

Horrible hot work environment, I deal with roaches, rats, and swarms of wasps daily. Also used to house 30-50 birds for years, they only took care of that after complaints about bird feces on product. Non of the equipment ever works long, they buy the literal worst cheapest things when the can be bothered. Have personally had to buy several things because management can’t be bothered. Speaking of which the local sales manager barely shows up, at most 2 hours out of a day. Nobody here even knows what he does because he’s somehow managed to off all his responsibilities on others, just checks his emails and goes home. Also, at least where I work, 100% racist white guys. I’ve heard things said that can’t be repeated. You also never know when you come in or get off on any given day. I sometimes go in at 2pm sometimes 10pm sometimes you get there and have to go home because things get delayed, this happens every week. Only one day off at a time so can never get home stuff done.
