Pros

Very diverse, global company who has their hand in all sorts in inelastic industries. IE. Oil, Gas, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, energy.

Cons

A lot of people content with mediocrity and no advancement. A lot of third world operations that can be difficult to communicate with.

Pros

I'll let you know if I find one. Maybe the Parking.

Cons

This place i a nightmare. The only way to get promoted in this place is to be bad at your job. They promote people so they stop making things worse and they have even less responsibility. Career development is non-existent. Anything you do to try and make yourself more marketable is completely disregarded. You are pretty much a wage slave here. Expect to earn less than a teacher if you take a job here. You would be better working at a Kinko's. I am embarrassed every-time I have a conversation with friends of mine from college and the topic of pay comes up. Bonus has nothing to do with performance or review or anything like that. One year I busted my ass to get the best review out of anyone in the place and I got nothing for it. Next year I was as lazy as I could be and got more. Great system. Politics like high school, and stupid people abound. If you get the option, stay on welfare instead of taking a job here.

Pros

Flowserve is well known among the OEM Industry and particularly likes to keep employees around for 20 plus years.

Cons

A career path is initially discussed during the hire process but never talked about afterwards. The employees in this organization are typically either extremely hard-working and motivated or complete opposite, doing what it takes to get by and letting others pick up the slack. The company claims they are about ethics, however as an employee who got laid off, I feel differently. Flowserve keeps laying off more and more individuals, even top performing employees.
