      Great people, good pay, good benefits

      Cons

      Limited advancement potential. Flowserve is a manufacturer of heavy industrial equipment - over time layoffs have been more frequent. The company is doing the right thing for shareholders by pushing towards moving to low cost regions for manufacturing and engineering, but that leaves those working in USA plants in a not-so-great position. As a result of drive towards globalization, advancement opportunities continue to diminish. Flowserve is currently taking opportunity in market downturn in oil and gas to really speed up plans to eliminate USA jobs and move to low cost regions.

      Good benefits and pay was good

      Cons

      Management treats their employees in a negative way. They do have buddy system which is not right. You will work to many hours and not have a life outside of there. There is a lot of gossip like being in elementary school. You can not trust most people there. Don't ever plan on any raises or bonus because it won't happen but they will tell you there is but they lie. You can't mess up cuz one boss believe's you have to be perfect even if your new and mess up then your write up.

      Decent pay; 401k contributions; pension plan, company paid; convenient location to mid-major airport for travel; building hides the lies inside... Perfect place for someone to come in and do just enough to get by. Missing a deadline is perfectly acceptable, surely it is someone else's fault, couldn't possibly be your...

      Cons

      Don't rock the boat... there is a spectacularly blinded understanding of the current happenings within the facility. Have an independent thought that could improve the systems or programs? Best to forget about it, you will likely be chastised and ridiculed for not being a team player... Have career ambitions for advancement? Best to look elsewhere, unless you are spinless and completely unqualified for a management role... Don't anger the G.O.B. members you will be blacklisted and become a scapegoat for anything that may go wrong.
