Pros

Smart people working on important products. Generally a great deal of responsibility and respect for your work. Compensation is very good.Hybrid work is nice. Management is generally quite good, but YMMV

Cons

Tech/digital side of business is very siloed. Not uncommon to see 2 or 3 teams working on similar tools. This is getting better though

Pros

Good company to work for with good pay. Usually flexible hours. understanding management from the engineering teams.

Cons

Employment is not handled well internally. I have seen the company promise coworkers promotions and set up positions only for them to hand it to someone else. This ends motivation and forces them to find other employment. I have seen the company fire field engineers to cover their own company faults while working on sites. I have seen the company fire people without even telling their direct managers that the employees under them would be fired. Finally when fired they promise severance but make it painfully difficult to recieve it from hr/payroll

Pros

Remote work was a pro but negatives were too many and more important

Cons

The culture of Fluence is based on politics The engineering leadership has created a negative atmosphere Most talented people leave to not get dragged into serious issues All these have created a very bad product engineering where the customers are unhappy, product is not working When it comes to ethical behavior, the culture is to anything that they can and there is no consideration for ethics at all
